Cecilia's Story
After a tragic accident took Cecilia’s life, her family was supported by Gift of Life Michigan during one of the most difficult moments they had ever faced. With compassion and guidance, the organization helped them understand the power of organ donation. Cecilia ultimately saved four lives.
Today, her father honors Cecilia’s legacy by volunteering and advocating for organ donation—particularly within the Hispanic community, where awareness of donation can be limited. For him, sharing Cecilia’s story is a way to honor her life, inspire generosity, and remind others that even in loss, one decision can give hope—and life—to others.
Donor Moms
Though their sons were friends, Becky and Amanda didn’t meet until both boys had tragically passed just three weeks apart. Robbie and Nathanael were registered organ donors, saving several lives with their donations and creating a lasting bond between their moms.
Now, these moms have dedicated their lives to supporting each other and raising awareness for the power of organ donation. They know firsthand how these precious gifts can change lives, not only for the recipients but also for the donor families.
