Highlighting Opportunities
The Michigan State University Institute of Agricultural Technology (IAT) is a department within the College of Agriculture & Natural Resources, dedicated to innovative, educational programs that develop career-ready graduates in Michigan’s booming agricultural sector. These programs are available at MSU and in partnership with several community colleges across the state of Michigan.
In recent years, they have had an issue reaching prospective students and wanted to find a way to raise awareness about their programs with young adults who either don’t see themselves in an agricultural career or don’t see themselves as “college-going” at all.
Our solution was to highlight the hands-on nature of these careers with a beautifully shot, attention-grabbing “hype video.” This hype video will serve as a cornerstone for outreach efforts, highlighting the depth and breadth of the department’s offerings for prospective students as well as strategic partners and community colleges.
We captured vibrant b-roll footage from various IAT programs across the state of Michigan at four different campuses—Muskegon Community College, Bay College in Escanaba, Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City, and Michigan State University in East Lansing. The engaging quick cuts paired with a chorus of voices speaking the narration paint a compelling picture of the diverse opportunities blossoming within the agricultural industry.
Additionally, we captured stunning photography to supplement IAT’s marketing. The shareable and evergreen nature of these assets will allow them to have a long and versatile life as they are utilized across multiple platforms, including IAT’s website, social media channels, and presentations at trade shows and community events. All together, these are more than just promotional tools; they are a testament to the future of agriculture and a visual representation of what’s possible with an education from the Michigan State University Institute of Agricultural Technology.
